Shell Game is the classic cup and ball game, played against a raccoon. The ball sits on the green felt, three red cups drop over it, and Rocco the hustler starts shuffling. Keep your eye on the ball, then tap the cup that’s hiding it. Simple. Until his paws speed up.
Every level adds swaps and makes them faster. Then a fourth cup, a fifth, a second ball, a third. From level 8 he swaps two pairs at once, and from level 12 he spins three cups around like a carousel. He smirks when you miss and sweats when you don’t.
Shell Game is part of Unrot, a series of short games that each put one mental skill to the test: memory, attention, speed or logic. This one is all about tracking. Zero brainrot.
How to play
- Watch the ball before the cups come down.
- Follow the cup that covers it through every swap.
- Tap the cup with the ball. With two or three balls, find the ball under each cup.
- An empty cup is a strike, and the round shows you where the balls really were. Three strikes and the run is over.
- From level 8, double swaps. From level 12, the carousel. A sign warns you the first time.
Scoring
- Your score is the level you reach.
- A level cleared with no strike is perfect, and perfect levels break ties.
- Play the Daily for one scored run on the same shuffles as everyone else, and keep your Unrot streak alive.
Tips
- Don’t look at the raccoon. Look at one cup and let the rest blur.
- A swap always moves one cup in front and one behind. Stick with the front or back one you care about.
- On a double swap, every cup still just trades places with one partner. Only watch the pair your ball is in.
- On a carousel, the three cups turn together: each one either steps one place along or sweeps all the way across to the other end.
- With several balls, lock onto the ones you’re sure of first. There’s no timer on the pick.
